i know that fun noodle swords are generally frowned upon, and for good reason, but i have found some extra thick ones that actually make nice swords/clubs. in comparison they are a little bigger in diameter than my clubs (which are three layers of blue foam wrapped around pvc.). the holes in the fun noodle are slightly smaller than 3/4" so 3/4" pvc fits perfectly, very little dap needed. the fun noodle and pvc was under 6 bucks and made 2 swords. adding a stabby tip was just as easy as a nerf ball, for 2.50 which covered both.

Well, if it passes, I am very curious as to the longevity of the life of these noodles you have come across. Surely it wont be more than blue foam, but if it lasted a couple months of hard usage, that would be pretty nice.

Honestly, Dagorhir used funoodle weapons for a long time before the standard blue sword design. They work great, are cheap, and easy to make. And they hold up fairly well. But don't count on them to last very long under heavy use.

well for 6 buck and 30 min i got two swords. and i know you get what u pay for, so as long as they last a little while it's worth it, at least to me. but that is only if they pass, as Ansgeirr said

2 of my 3 longsword/clubs are fun noodles...when wielding 2 different weapons, the fun noodle weapons make good offhands.

Funoodle weapons are great starters. But beware: they won't last long. Our weapons checkers will fail a funoodle weapon if it has sweet spots.

A single layer of blue foam will extend the longevity greatly.
