Max-Gain Sys. is a fiberglass manufacturer acclaimed by a number of veteran Dagorhirrim. On their product list are 8 ft. round fiberglass tubes. For spear cores they have 1" OD tubes with 1/8" thick walls. They weigh 2 lbs. and run $10.00 apiece (+ $2.00 for packaging). If we order 10 cores, at 5 lbs. each (2lbs. + 3 lb. box) shipping will come to $20.50. Of course UPS ground may charge an additional $7.00 handling fee...AND an order of 10 or more gets us a 10% discount.

The total after tax (5%) should look something like $133.88. If I can get even a couple people to split this that would be awesome.

I figured the tax wrong, the total is actually $120.49. So 6 people would need to chip in $20.08. Assuming we're talking under $20 here.

And yes, each 8 ft. core is $10.00. But add in shipping & handling then tax, and the better deal is to buy in bulk and get the 10% off.

well, it's 12.00 per person, per core, so if one person wants more than one, it'd be 12.00 per core. i.e. 24.00 if I want to go in for 2, 36.00 if I want to go in for 3, and so on. So we don't necessarily need 10 peeps, just enough peeps to need 10 poles.

Also, put me down for one of these. (I will contribute 12.00 for one of the 10 poles)

They are WELL worth it. As spears or large Reds, like a glaive or similar, they are amazing. If you EVER want to be a spear fighter, GET ONE! You will not regret it.
