A simple one is just a tube of leather that is slightly smaller at the bottum, then cut out a circle the size of the base, but give it one inch flaps on the four cardinal corners. Fold the flaps up and brad/lace/rivet them onto the base. Now, strap it and be done.

You make it sound so simple! But I'm not experienced in leather work at all - -

It really is. Here is a simple plan for a basic un-adorned quiver.

But, with all the detailing and work I put in my armor, I can't justify a pain quiver.

well aside from the derailment of the post lol. Tandy leather is now located near toys r us in the noland fashion square area. Google maps doesnt pull it up and takes you to the wrong place. Shame on them lol. I couldnt find it yesterday do to that so isntead of being stubborn and adventerous I just called the store. So if you take 70 highway to exit 12 onto south noland its in that general area. google lies and places it in an unfinished area south of lake tapawingo in what is a road with an office building.

Also i know a bit about leather working. Its not my area of specialty in the armor making, but i can show people how to make bracers and other basic stuff and have enough understanding of how leather works to figure out how to make more complicated peices, so feel to send be a pm if you have any questions or were to start. Leather is cool cause its so shapeable with only a little work. Depending on how much it is I might be buying a side of 12 ounce leather to work with today and if its to much for right now I will be getting it Friday when i get paid. I will have plenty extra to make bracers and other things with.

Edit: Looks like I can get a pretty decent side of saddle leather for about 100 bucks so if its not raining cold evil little rain drops all day tommorrow, I will figure out the cost of materials for making various armor items and let people know.

idk exactly I will have to play around for that. Got a membership card for the Tandy Leather and they are having a open house sale this weekend so I am buying stuff then. The people there know stuff as I had a long discussion on how best to harden leather with the manager and we both learned something new from comparing techniques which is awesome. Also they have a cool class on how to make leather belt pouches for 35 dollars and they will teach some basics about tooling too its pretty awesome and you get to keep the belt puch so 35 bucks to learn and get garb good stuff.
