| Hokay, this is the world---- https://2img.net/h/i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/timmy_page44/RavenwoodExpandedsuper-1.jpgkaaaaay. And I was thinking, since we have such similar story lines for our realms we might expand this map a bit more and share it. Or there are a few current places open on the map too. But I like stories that wrap eachother and intertwine, IDK about you guys, but that makes fighting a lot of fun. Its like this, this army is from our like-minded neighbors from over the mountain and I will guard their backs with my life against out mutual threats and vice versa. We pretty much have an alliance already, lets just flesh it out with the map, and, if you guys are game(and want to take it that far), overlapping story lines! I know the whole story for our realm up to current and if anyone needs I can summarize it very briefly later. But what about the map idea? Good/bad? Orrin? Does your end have any problems with this? I'm not gonna lie though, everyone on my end pretty much loves Haven. It seems like a fun idea to me. Tell me, ideas, what does everyone think? | |

| I think for the most part, this is a very interesting idea, but I'm not sure everyone in Haven would be interested in sharing a storyline. I'm not sure I've ever heard of realms sharing storylines but it is fascinating concept.
Up to this point this is Haven's history: Founded by a hodge-podge band of refugees and rebels from surrounding lands, these people fled from their homelands escaping war, tyranny, disease, famine, and invasion, they banded together. After a number of years living off the land, they moved to the site of a river valley that ran through a forest close to a nearby mountain range and founded a small community. They called their new home Haven. After another many years passed, the villiage became a city known for its unique culture and history, and its people and ideas began to spread into the lands surrounding it.
I don't know how close our histories are word for word...
Eldrin, you are a bard of your people. Would you grace us with your land's history?

| Yup. To put it simply and to the point(this has been our story since the beginning of Ravenwood in 2003), here goes;
The lands of Ravenwood were once not known as that, it was nothing. Then, the evil Emperor Tibret moved his armies in the lands surrounding the Raven's wood. Tibret believed that all races were inferior to oomies...Humans and enslaved all the dwarfs, orcs, elves, etc. he found. He made them work in slave camps and mines together, good and evil, civilized and savage, it didn't matter. Tibret even ruled his human subjects with a cruel and iron fist
So one day an alliance of goodly soldiers from other lands formed an army to fight the Emperor and set the slaves free. At first it was only a war of attrition. But guerilla warfare began to turn to all out battle as more and more peoples joind the cause and more slaves were released.
Eventually the emperor was overthrown and the Kingdom was named after the home base of the rebellion, Ravenwood. Overtime, when things became more stable, Ravenwood became a Republic.
The funny thing is, that all the races, good, evil, civilized, savage, etc. realized that without each other they would still be slaves, or worse. A strange bond developed within the realm between all peoples of all types. The realm accepts everyone no matter who they are and the fellowship of one nation is the fellowship of very diverse peoples. We hold freedom, fellowship, and justice as our most important ideals!
That is basically it! Since, they are pretty similar stories, so I though it would be pretty cool to mash 'em up some.
We can mesh stories from current on, or connect them somehow in the past. For instance; Then suddenly, all the people who fled the emperor and his evil war were become known to Ravenwood and we were like Sister nations. We were glad you guys fared so well and you felt likewise. Now, were neighbors and value each others trade and fellowship. That is one way to do it.
We could even go as far to make belt flags and make up some sort of name or passing title for our alliance. I know I've always wanted to have an official symbol of our alliance, because you guys are pretty close to my heart and I'm proud to know you. You are some of the most level-headed, open-minded people around. A few members of your realm have particularly impressed me just by kind of seeing how things have gone over time. Iohn, Kolton, Kairi, and Vala stand out pretty sharply. But all of Haven has always seemed pretty mellow and cool.
Anywho, how might we mash this up? Ideas?

| I'm kind of against this. Not because I dislike Ravenwood by any means, because I love you guys and if it weren't for your help we might not have gotten off the ground as easily as we did. However, I think that meshing our realms too closely together might cause one realm to slowly lose it's identity, and since Haven's identity is still taking form, it's likely to be us. We'll end up sort of being swallowed up, to put it one way, when I'd really like for Haven to be a similar but separate realm. I love how well our realms can coexist. I think the only real way to 'mesh' our realms would be to say that Havener's can find as much peace in our own lands as we can in the lands of Ravenwood, and vice versa, and that should either realm need the help of the other, because of our principles and friendship we'd be willing to have one anothers backs-- a close alliance, but separate realms.
I'm also honored to know I've made a good impression on you, Eldrin. You made an amazing impression on me the day you gave my brother Koltin such encouragement and honor as a small and fierce fighter on the field, so I'm glad to know the feeling is more mutual than one-sided, haha.

| I can see, that defiantly, thats a good point that I didn't think of Kairi. I would never want to take away one bit of Havens, identity. I was saying there was a number of ways to mesh our stories(I probably gave a really bad example). But, now that I think about it, I may have came off bad about the idea. I didn't mean to! I really meant it to mean that you guys were a separate realm, but I was trying to but our alliance into some sort of perspective role-play wise. I hope that makes better sense.
No, it is defiantly not one-sided! I hope I never gave you that impression!
But, even if not on the other stuff, is the alliance symbol/belt flag to much? I understand if you guys think it is. But fighting with my friends is 90% of the reason I fight anyways. The glorious moments aren't solo ones, they are the ones are when you and your friend/s smashed some people real good.
But anyways, once again, good point Kairi, I didn't consider that!

| I love our alliance. I wouldn't change that for the world. I just wanted to make sure we could still maintain a Haven image, too. @.x; I hope I didn't come across too sourly. | |

| Let me try to re-word this into something more pleasing.
We do not wish to annex Haven, though we would never turn anyone away either.
What he meant was simply adding you to the map somewhere. For our realm and inter-realm events ( Sheildmeet and Battle of the Broken Wheel ), we write the story lines based around our map and regions.
Skeith once made a map for Dominion that coincided with the upper edge of Ravenwoods map. Thus simplifying our abilty to write them into our event story-lines. Also allowing ease of character swapping in the event someone moved from one realm to the other.
Adding a portion of the map to show Havens geographical relation to Ravenwood would not detract from either realm. On the contrary, it would show the other realms in the area, and out east, that the realms in the midwest are a serious growing force to be reckoned with on the field.
That being said, I understand if you still do not wish it. Just know that for yes or no, it will not hurt our friendships either personal or realmwise. And, I am sure Eldrin will agree with me here, the offer will still be there if you change your mind.

| As a Bard of Haven (And someone who's imagination is unbound), I can working on an identity for Haven. I can either take the sexy map and add us to it, or I can make a new map from scratch. Doesn't matter - let me know, either way. | |
