Hey help me with my self appointed task :Assassins tourny

I will more than likely be running the Assassins tourny at Gates this year hear are the rules I’m going off http://www.dagorhir.com/forums/index.php?topic=12082.0

Please let me know if you want to help me and any suggestions/ potential problems you see.

Will armor count for marks/assassins/guards?
I’m not sure on this one what do you guys think maybe no armor?

How will you identify who is who and hand out the daily marks? Or are you going to have them come to you at certain points in the day? --running names on a list should be easy enough right?

The effect of armor would be: more daggers and more people that are tired because they slept in armor. No matter how you decide, I don't think it will influence people too much.

I think a list would be best. You won't be able to delegate too much because then you'll lose track of whose doing what. So you'll need a "base" with just a handful of people rotating through the shifts.

Hobby Lobby has lots of little beads and amulets and things that will work wonderfully.

Poison? No idea.

What is the Assassin's Tourney?

Ok assassin tourneys can be great fun but some rules have to applied first.
1. all participating members need to get permission to enter the campgrounds of the various other participating members to avoid angry bystanders. Its often best to just avoid the camps as most people want to sleep. If you have the ok from the camp though its all good.
2. All assassinations have to be off the field of battle. That not very fun at all to just stab some one when they are fighting three other people.
3. its of course a 24/7 kinda thing. Respecting privacy is important though its just not cool to assassinate people while they are relieving themselves

Ok as for armor, if you sneak up on some one who is armored and they do not see or hear you by the time you can tap them on the back and say assassinated or whatever armor should not count at all other times it does.

marks are just a list of people who are targets at the time. Just take a list of the people and choose x amounts of marks. rotate the list at certain intervals through out the day to keep it fresh and give marks the chance to become assassins. Of course marks can have guards making it more difficult for you to assassinate them. That makes it more fun to trick them out of there position of defense and get the job done. Marks always know they are marks. It can be assumed that a mark is important enough to have connections to know when they are a target.

Point system on the website is fine. Whoever has the most points at the end is the winner.

Poisons can work in several ways since this is all about stealth subtely and skill, I would agree with the three poisons from the original idea and make them an ingested poison. You mark the subjects food with something and if eaten they are paralyzed for x amount of time. We used to do things like put a red sticker at the bottom of a bowel and such. Its fun and really pisses the mark off when they notice it.

Marks should be given a token. You can take it up a step assuming the assassin only has a name and a general area the mark will be and they have to figure out who the mark is or you can have the mark wear something that is visible. In most tourneys I had to figure out who my mark was by role playing it out with other people. It was fun and brought a whole other dimension to the tournament. Assassins have a different colored token that they give to the mark if defeated.

As for handing out who is the mark its fun to just have a piece of paper with the marks name on it and general information like were the mark is staying aka campground. The marks get a piece of paper saying something like you are it. Do this at the beginning of each day or times for a switch over and all at the same time. Its the marks fault if he lets all the assassins in the room know its his turn.

so does this mean that if they are wearing armor and you can sneak up on them the armor is null? or does it still take two hits or what? pls be more precise

common sense says that if you could have been killed you was this is to avoid pain and overkill
