...
you do realize this is a test, right? There are plenty of false statements on the test. They are questions, the answer to which is "false".
Also the morningstars in the MOA are chained morningstars, not just spiky-ball-on-stick morningstars. If you think they can pass as reds, you should study for this test Smile

*edit to avoid double post* This is based off of the old MOA, I'm working on updating it for 2008.

svip i was working on the newest version of the MOA which doesn't even have the mention of morning stars, so i assumed it spikey ball on end of stick kind, and i actually looked at the test and got them all besides like one i actually needed to clarify so Razz, and techniclly the stab question is both, both ends can be green but one end can not.if the other isn't Razz

These are the most current rules: http://digitalbonsai.com/dagrules-draft/

Some editions to this are:
Quote :
4.1.4. All weapons must have cloth covering over all striking surfaces. The cloth covering may not have “dog-ears”: protrusions of excess cloth that pass more than 0.5 inch through a 2 inch diameter hole (see 4.1.6).
Quote :
4.2.4.6. The head or ball of a flail may not be constructed with a solid core; only foam may be used.
Quote :
4.5.1.1. Yellow weapons must be used at half-drawn (arrows) or thrown with half force (javelins) at ranges closer than 20 feet. Crossbows are exempt from this rule.
Quote :
4.5.3.3. Crossbows must have a maximum draw weight of 35 pounds or less at 12 inches power stroke. Power stroke is defined as the distance the string moves from its rest position to its cocked position.
4.5.3.4. To be an archer at an event, a competitor must bring at least 2 passing arrows.
Quote :
4.7.4. A shield may not be taller than the distance between the wielder’s chin and their ankles, nor wider than 3 feet in circumference (arc length of the shield face).
4.7.5. The minimum dimensions of a shield is 12 inches in circumference (arc length across the face of the shield).

Yeah, I downloaded it and I'm working on updating the test. There'll be another test for shields and armor and a third for heralding / non-checked rules(Anvilling, weapon-grabbing, punch-blocking, and the thing about having to bring at least two arrows to name a few).

And Tyler, the answer to that question is just false. You may not have either one or two stabbing tips on a double-weapon. You may have zero or two stabbing tips on a double weapon. The question is designed to show the hard-line policy that applies to double-ended weapons' stabbing tips. Is it confusing?

I think the test should be administered with a proctor on hand to answer questions like that, and to clarify just what a question is asking for. It should be almost impossible for someone who doesn't know the MOA to pass but rather easy for someone who has studied it and can quote lines in the event of a dispute.

*edited* the test is now MoA 2008 compatible.
*edited again* and has a key.
