| I had ordered a set of plates for a CoP kit from a less-than-exemplary armorer in Canada, and I'm almost half-way complete with the project. It includes 5 front torso plates, 5 back torso plates, 3 upper chest plates, and 3 upper back plates. They 16 ga. galvanized steel plates themselves are well made, it just took forever (5 months) for them to get here.
Suffice to say that I should be wearing it to this sunday's practice, and I'll post pics of it here and some info on how I constructed it for those who are interested. This project is surprisingly easy to do and a suitable armor for the beginner fighter as long as you can get the plates cut, rolled, dished, and holes punched. | |

| You'd better take pictures. And weigh yourself before you put on the armor, and then again after, and tell us how much all your stuff weighs. You've got to be lugging 60+ lbs around now. -.-; | |

| I dislike your coat of plates. It cut into the foam of my favourite red. ):< | |

| If it can cut into the foam... what might it do to fingers or flesh? are the edges rolled, or was it just a wild random thing that happened? | |

| I'm sure there's a technical way to describe it that I'm unaware of, so I'll leave that to Iohn. Suffice to say that the same thought crossed my mind. | |
