| Cort and I were chatting about ads on campus. Here are some of the ideas we have . . . 1. All college kids have a printing quota. we can use it at the end of the semester and get some black and white ads up. These ads would change between semesters, as the fighting times change, but, would be easy to read, simple, and focus more on the sportlike nature of it, and less on the larping part of it. The reason I bring this up now is because the end of the semester is in sight, and I would like to use the 20 bucks of printing quota that I don't plan to use, but have anyway. 2. Tshirts. Anyone want to get to work on a t-shirt design? Cort suggested something like this - Front - Haven symbol and name Back - a picture of people fighting, a website address, and a tagline along the lines of "Want to know more? Ask me!" Here's a 25 minute mockup of what a tshirt back COULD look like. I just took Tito and Thomas, shooped the hell out of it, and well, there you go. I wouldn't suggest really using it, because I don't think medieval people wore wife beaters. However, it has a good pose and form, and is centered well. Whoever took this picture, props. | |

| Oh wow, extreme irony ftw. We were just talking about this map the other day and couldn't find it. XD Awesome. I'm going to work on some flier/t-shirt designs in the next week or so. I would encourage anyone else with some free time and any artistic skill to do the same, that way people have some choices to vote on (or we can just have multiple kinds of fliers to print out, which is always nice). The main reason for doing the t-shirts is that because we're not an official RSO yet (and thank you Chwiwgwn for working so hard to get us there!) we can't actually post fliers around campus without having them ripped down. How do we remedy this problem? We become walking billboards, obviously. We also need a place/website that will let us make shirts with our designs and specifications for fairly cheap and yet not suck horribly (meaning the decals don't fall off after one wash or whatever), so if you know a reliable place to recommend, please do so. (: Also: The t-shirts are definitely available to non-Rolla Haveners. We might have to adjust them or something for you guys, but I definitely think you guys deserve shirts too if you want them. | |

| I know Svipdag has provided Poetrizzle Competizzle shirts for a couple of years and they tend to survive washes fairly well. Maybe we could get shirts from wherever he gets them. | |

| I know there is a decal place near Pine Street . . . may have to go bug them . . . Also, do we want to use the map for something? | |

| If Svipdag can give us some info as to the price of the shirts and such, that would be awesome. I had completely forgotten about that, so I'm glad you mentioned it.
We'll have to look into the place on Pine Street. I've never heard of it, but that would definitely save us on shipping, so it's worth looking into.

| i'm not sure if i want a billboard shirt..a boffer shirt, yes.
As far as advertising i suggest door decs. since our doors are our own and pretty free from being torn down. we can just print up some fliers and tape them to our doors with a cool picture, a time, and place, that way if people have questions, it is pretty obvious where u live and can ask u.

| Odin, that's a really good idea, as well!
So, shall we say that we want all fliers submissions in two-three weeks, so we can mass print them? That way, people can see their schedules for next semester and decide when we can hold practice next semester?

| Another thing, Candy has looked into poster prices in the library, so that we could make a really nice poster to set up on the puck during practice that basically tells people what it is we're doing, I'd recommend that we do a sandwich board style poster (two posters supporting each other) if we wanted to do that, but we do get a lot of people walking by the puck, and I think it'd work pretty well... | |

| I like that, I remember Chwiwgwn talking about one at practice recently. I'd like to know the prices of such a thing first, but designs for something like that wouldn't be amiss either.
I'm actually not a huge fan of door decs simply because I don't think they'll be very effective. Living on a girl floor in particular, as well as at the very end of the hallway, makes it highly unlikely that anyone is going to knock on my door and ask me when Boffer Club practices are. If someone wants to do that, though, I think they should, but I just don't think it'd be something very effective for me personally.
And on the note of not wanting a billboard shirt, that's fine, too. I'm sure we can get several t-shirt designs made up and order both for whoever wants what. (:

| we need to make a deadline for designs - otherwise, people won't be pressured - i mean motivated to do them. | |

| check this lady for info on shirts. The T-shirts are Gildan Ultra Cotton, I think, but whatever they are is printed on the tags so it shouldn't be hard to figure out. ProSource Promotions, Inc. Tami Jones Phone: (816) 228-4100 Fax: (816) 228-4669 tami@prosourcepromotions.com | |

| Awesome! Thanks Svipdag. ^.^
And I agree, Summer. We need a deadline. I think anywhere from two weeks to a month would be a good idea (mostly because people might have free-time over Thanksgiving to make something up).

| Turn this into a black-and-white design, and I would wear it on a shirt. I wish I could get a poster of that picture, it is made of pure awesome sauce. Just be sure to credit Jazz @ Hennafish photography, since she took this awesome photo. | |

| Yeah, I personally like the clarity of the original picture. I think blobby photoshop pics are kind of... well, blobby and unidentifiable. @.x; | |
