| So, I understand they were on the same weekend... But, with two different events, surely some of you made it to at least one of them. I am down in Oklahoma for the summer, so I went to Ludi, and it was a blast. I didn't realize this, but Alterra is VERY good. Since Tiberius started the group several years ago, they have a lot of members with several years fighting experience. I was surprised to see large groups of people younger than me who fight like Ian does. The weather was miserably hot, but the battles were pretty well organized, and fun. Though they were outnumbered, the Alterran team won a lot of the field battles. Stormwrath was there in force as well, led by Amun-Ra. They were great and a lot of fun to fight with. I think they have an event coming up in July. Look for an announcement on the boards. Did anyone go to broken wheel? You should have! Ravenwood runs great events too. If you did go, tell us about it. | |

| I made it to Broken Wheel!!!
Due to being so close behind Gates, and 3 other events that weekend (LUdi, Elderynth, and an Amtgard) our attendance was well below our typical 75+ event #'s here, but it was some HARD fighting and awesome hanging out.
Was awesome hanging out with everyone, especially Kala, Logar, Casper, and Tyr. They stayed the night at my place, then came to my work and had lunch with me. Played in the fountains and pissed off a local trashman.
Had some good RP battles, Kala and I killed the dragon. And hte bonfire that would not burn... | |

| I'm very jealous of you, Angus. I've always wanted to make it to one of their events, and what was worse is that I actually visited Oklahoma for the first time via field camp, so I was even in the area but wasn't allowed to leave. >.< I'm not surprised to hear what you say of Alterra at all. They've always been a strong group of fighters, and considering where our origins lie, it's only natural they'd be awesome. I really hope to make it to Ludi next year. And hopefully Broken Wheel won't be at the same time, so I can finally visit all of these Greyskins and give them what-for. (: | |
