Rolla Chapter Takes Flight

After talking with Kiley Bush, coordinator of the foam-fighting organization here at Rolla University, I would like to inform everyone that our quest for a home has ended! Haveners, finally we will be able to have our own chapter, and our own realm. I shall be filing a chapter contract with DGBA within the season!

The organization established in Rolla, MO under the leadership of Mr. Bush is intented as a networking organization to aide those here in finding a foam-fighting group with whom to affiliate, such as Dagorhir, Amtgard, Belegarth, ect. The organization here will place our chapter as the head of Dagorhir operations in the group and in the Rolla area. Much thaks to the foam-fighting organization and to Mr. Bush for their hospitality and help in Haven's endeavor to find a home.

So start thinking BIG, ladies and gentlemen. We will shortly have a real, official chapter, regognized by the Dagorhir community. Now is the time to start getting serious about Dagorhir. Garb, weapons, and function will all need to be taken a step further. Very shortly we will cease to be a group of youths with foam weapons, but a band of warriors and scholars with a dream to create.

Sry to point this out but if kiley is signing the charter with DAG wouldn't that make him realm leader >.>

He's not doing it for Dagorhir. He's creating a school organization that incorporates all foam fighting organizations. We'll be practicing with Belegarth, Amtgard, Nero, etc, as well as Dagorhir. Kiley's goal is just to bring us all together to have fun and be safe; to give us all a way to network.
He told us that it would be awesome if Haven were willing to represent the Dagorhir aspect of that group, and so we're very excited to do so.

I'll see about doing the same here at Truman. Amt, Bel and Dag are all represented here as well.

I'm excited for you guys, great work I hope you become the next big sensation out here in the midwest! Be careful not to mix or discourage the other boffer sports there though. Once upon a time I was in a Bel, Amt, Dag realm and it was awful really. Bel is close enough to Dag to make it work but Amt is a whole differnt sport. Plus leagally in the contract i think it's a breach of dagorhir rules.

well, (and I'm really no authority on this) I think the mixed foam fighting thing'll work fine, with Iohn and Cort repping Dag and Kiley being the liason between all the groups and the school. Since we as Haven wouldn't be encompassing Belegarth or Amtgard, merely practicing with them, I can't see how that would violate Dag rules about each realm being purely Dag. 'course, I know virtually nothing about the realm contract, I've never seen one.
