The Basics:

Garb, Garb and more Garb (you can never have enough)
individual feast gear/mess kit

Dagorhir weapons and shields (an identifying mark on your weapons will help tell them apart)
Foamsmithing repair kit

Optional:
Carrying bag made of canvas, leather or other period materials.
Costume dagger or sword (keep it away from the field)
musical instruments (including drums)
Cloak/furs
Facepaint
Tentflag (don't forget to put our realm symbol on it XD )

Camping Gear:
Tent
Rope
Knife
Camping pad or cot (I'd recommend the latter)
Sleeping bag or several blankets, pillow
Sunscreen
Money (Cash or travelers checks)

Group Gear:
Tarp or dining fly
Communal water cooler
Water or Drink Jug
Torches, lantern or oil lamp (and candles or fuel as needed)
Chairs or benches (folding chair, you will want one)
camping stove (for the number of people we'll have, 2 max)
Bow Saw, Axe or hatchet
Shovel (for firepit)
Bulk trash bags (always good to have)
Cooking gear, BBQ tools (Long Fork, spatula and tongs)
Dish soap and washrag (No one will do dishes for you, do it yourself)

"Make as much garb as you can, and try to have some warmer garb for cool evenings and cooler garb for the hot days. A cloak or poncho is a necessity. Leave a clean set of mundane clothes in the car for the ride home (where they’ll stay dry). A good hint is to buy an extra box of plastic trash bags and then put all of your clothing bags into them just in case your tent gets flooded. If you cannot sew, bribe someone who can to help you make garb, or ask them to help you learn how."

Try to pack all your gear into 1-2 arm-loads. Duffel bags work well, but stay away from large suitcases. The walk to camp will be over a large creek, up a hill, and into the woods. And considering we're a newer realm, we'll most likely get stuck in the boonies so be prepared for a small hike to camp.

And see, missed again. Flashlights! it is dark out there. And though I enjoy the company, and don't mind walking people back to thier camps, the more people with a flashlight, the better.

One other suggestion, (Eldrins Idea actually) Store everything in the large rubbermaid tubs. Keeps things dry, stacks easy, and has handles.

I have a car charger that I will bring if peoples remind me too. I'm guaranteed to forget it otherwise. *is dumb*

Well, I sure hope that the symbol will be decided on by then. As far as I'm concerned our symbol is #1/#2

hey ladies, i still have that eggcrate foam queensized mattres, would you (Vala, Elyssia, Kairi) like to use it at gates, i bought it for E but she couldn't use it then.

I'm actually fine with sleeping in just the sleeping bag with maybe a foam mat under me, so I'm good.

Dude, if I go, I'll bring a case of vitamin water. I can buy it with my Truman account. Unless you guys don't want vitamin water.

Hopefully they still sell the cases. They come in cases of about 30. All in one flavor though.

hey, what do you guys need that would keep (something I can keep in a car for 7+ hours or however long it takes to get up to gates)? If someone brings a dutch oven and canned biscuits, I can bring everything else for the pizza that we had last time.

what kind of musical instruments are allowed at events?

As far as I'm aware, most things seem game. I know Eldrin carries around an acoustic guitar and plays/sings lovely songs, and I know a guy named Ducky who carries around a drum and plays on that, too. What did you want to bring?
