| Hey!!! What's up? I want to get together with whoever is willing to so I/we can get better at defending and attacking against different weapons. I figure if we can get better at attacking and defending against one weapon attacks, maybe we have a better chance at multiple people attacks. So anyone else who wants to please answer back. | |

| If you wish to become better against multiple people, I would recommend the sections from "The Sword and the Mind" my Hiroaki Sato on that topic. It's rather short, but the theory really helped my fighting (with reds especially). | |

| If you fight double-weapon a lot, Chwiwgwn, look into Philipino (sp) stick fighting also known as escrima. | |

| Where can I look at this "The Sword and The Mind"?
And no matter what style I use, what I want is someone who let me practice that style against them in actual combat ( combat being practice) However I will look into that Iohn

| I agree - I would like to do some practices like a meat grinder, only we form two dag lines and battle one on one. Yes, no? | |

| I wish I had more free-time during the week to do random training sessions. ;.;
We definitely need to do more training-intensive practices. This last Friday was pretty good, particularly when we were doing the bridge battles. More of that is necessary, me thinks.

| Yeah, bridge battles would seem like good practice, especially for those who are going to Gates of Summer.
I would also like to start a free for all talk about different ways to increase our collection of MAD SkIlLz lol, but seriously. For example:
To increase awareness of your surrounding enemies: mark a small area off (circle or square) put 3-4 people into the circle the people then fight in a free for all if you step out of the marked area you are dead when you die you lie/sit down where you are the goal is to know who is alive and has what damage and generally know what is happening around you

| One drill we did in HSS was to put a bunch of little orange cones down [I think you can get them at Wal-Mart] and fight among them as if in a mine field. Touching a cone means death. It forces you to be aware of your surroundings. | |

| Another drill we do is a duel where you can't move at all unless you're singing something. It's harder than it sounds. Especially if you forget the words to your song. Having to remember the lyrics in time to block an attack is a stressful situation. | |

| LOL
That would definitely help with quickly thinking through your situation and acting accordingly. Though I think it would suck for those of us who don't really memorize the words to songs that well.

| I think saying "Rick Astley" should be to being rickrolled as saying "the game" is to losing the game. Because when you say his name the video starts playing in my head. | |

| Dude, if you want to get better, and you have time on Saturdays, You should do SCA if you can. That's a great way to train. The SCA folks kick everyone esle's Tuckuses usually. Of course, they're out in St. Robert, so you'd have to drive. (If you try, you might be able to find someone to carpool with...) | |
