| ok, well... after his parents were killed by raiders when he was 14, he found life afterward as a major burden. a few months later some merchants came by a pub he was drowning his sorrow in and he began talking to them and telling them his story. they sympathized with him and took him in, teaching him some life lessons and essential skills, and their next direct place they were heading was japan. when they shored up, a blacksmith's shop caught his eye and he decided that he would try and become the smith's apprentice, which eventually happened after learning the language and such. at this point, he was around 20 years old. this is where he became extremely good at weaponsmithing and armorsmithing. the smithy was popular with a samurai village nearby and soon they became his role models. the smithy had some skill with the katana and, after learning about his apprentice's past, taught him how to wield one properly. eventually the merchants come back and he goes back to ireland and fights in the name of honor and chivalry, seeking out barbarians in the defense of his fellow countrymen. yay short stories!!!  | |
